Certainly, a prevalent misconception among those who are frugal is that “practice trumps learning from books and materials!” However, practicing without foundational knowledge is merely needless suffering and squanders both time and money. Moreover, the time and resources invested in practice by these individuals are often significantly less than what is spent by those who allocate time and money for books and materials.
In essence, the notion that “practice is more important than study” is merely a convenient rationalization for avoiding study. The outcome for such individuals is predictably unfortunate.
