The Monty Hall problem is a famous probability puzzle based on the game show ‘Let’s Make a Deal.’ You are presented with three doors: behind one is a car, and behind the other two are goats.
After you pick a door, the host, who knows what’s behind each door, opens one of the other two doors to reveal a goat.
You are then given the option to switch your choice to the remaining unopened door. Statistically, switching doors increases your chances of winning the car from 1/3 to 2/3.
