The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) reported a significant rise in small business confidence in December, reaching its highest level in over six years.
The NFIB Small Business Optimism Index increased by 3.4 points to 105.1, surpassing economists’ expectations. This surge reflects growing optimism among small business owners, driven by reduced economic uncertainty and positive expectations from the new administration’s economic policies.
The index’s rise indicates a robust outlook for small businesses, which are crucial to the U.S. economy.
